Description
Perfectly crispy chicken wings baked to golden perfection in the oven. Toss them in your favorite sauce or enjoy them plain—either way, they’re irresistible!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs (900g) chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
- 1 tbsp baking powder (not baking soda)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
- Prepare Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss them with baking powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Bake: Arrange the wings on the wire rack in a single layer, ensuring they don’t touch. Bake for 20 minutes, then flip and bake for another 25 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and toss with your favorite sauce (like buffalo, BBQ, or honey garlic), or serve as is with a dipping sauce.
Notes
- Patting the wings dry and using baking powder helps achieve extra crispy skin.
- For spicier wings, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seasoning.
- Serve with celery sticks and ranch or blue cheese dressing for a classic pairing.
