  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup toffee bits (Heath or Skor)
  • ½ tsp sea salt (optional, for a salted caramel twist)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven & Prepare Crust:

    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
    • In a bowl, mix cake mix, melted butter, and egg until combined.
    • Press the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish to form a crust.
  • Bake the Crust:

    • Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven.
  • Add the Filling:

    • Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the warm crust.
    • Drizzle caramel sauce over the top.
  • Bake Again:

    • Return to the oven and bake for 15-18 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
  • Add Toppings:

    • Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot bars, allowing them to melt slightly.
    • Sprinkle toffee bits on top and gently press them in.
  • Cool & Serve:

    • Let the bars cool completely before slicing. For best results, chill in the fridge for 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
