For the Crust:
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
For the Filling & Topping:
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup toffee bits (Heath or Skor)
- ½ tsp sea salt (optional, for a salted caramel twist)

Preheat Oven & Prepare Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix cake mix, melted butter, and egg until combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish to form a crust.

Bake the Crust:
- Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven.

Add the Filling:
- Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the warm crust.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the top.

Bake Again:
- Return to the oven and bake for 15-18 minutes, until bubbly and golden.

Add Toppings:
- Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot bars, allowing them to melt slightly.
- Sprinkle toffee bits on top and gently press them in.

Cool & Serve:
- Let the bars cool completely before slicing. For best results, chill in the fridge for 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
