  • Author: Amelia
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 8 roll-ups 1x

Description

These Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups are the perfect combination of two breakfast favorites—cinnamon rolls and French toast! Soft bread is rolled up with a sweet cinnamon-sugar filling, dipped in a rich egg mixture, and cooked to golden perfection. Serve them with a drizzle of icing or maple syrup for an irresistible morning treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices of soft white bread, crusts removed
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp butter (for cooking)

For the Glaze (Optional):

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Cinnamon Filling: In a small bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon to form a paste.

2️⃣ Roll the Bread: Flatten each bread slice with a rolling pin. Spread a thin layer of the cinnamon mixture over each slice and roll them up tightly.

3️⃣ Make the French Toast Coating: In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.

4️⃣ Dip & Cook: Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tbsp butter. Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture, coating all sides, then place in the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, turning until golden brown and crispy.

5️⃣ Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

6️⃣ Serve & Enjoy: Drizzle the glaze over the roll-ups or serve with maple syrup.

Notes

✔️ For extra crunch, roll the cooked roll-ups in cinnamon sugar.
✔️ Swap white bread for brioche or whole wheat for a twist.
✔️ Serve with fresh fruit or whipped cream for an extra treat!
