Ingredients
For the Chicken:

4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts

1/2 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Salt & pepper, to taste

2 tbsp olive oil or butter
For the Cream Sauce:

2 tbsp butter
-
1 small onion, finely diced
-
3 garlic cloves, minced
-
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
-
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
-
1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)

1/2 tsp thyme (optional)

Salt & pepper, to taste
For Serving:

3 cups cooked white or brown rice

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions

Season & Sear Chicken: Season chicken with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear chicken on both sides until golden (about 4–5 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter. Add onions and garlic, sauté until softened. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.

Gradually whisk in chicken broth and cream. Bring to a simmer and cook until slightly thickened (4–5 minutes). Add thyme if using.

Smother the Chicken: Return chicken to the pan and simmer in the sauce for 8–10 minutes until fully cooked and tender.

Serve over warm rice, spooning extra sauce on top. Garnish with parsley.
