  • Author: amelia
  • Total Time: 2 minute
  • Yield: 4-6 servings 1x

Description

This Crock Pot Shrimp Boil combines shrimp, corn, potatoes, sausage, and a delicious blend of spices. It’s a simple, hands-off way to enjoy a hearty, flavorful seafood boil without the mess. Everything cooks together in one pot for an easy and satisfying meal!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 pound baby potatoes, halved

  • 4 ears of corn, cut into halves

  • 1/2 pound andouille sausage, sliced

  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra spice)

  • 1 lemon, sliced

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 2 cups water (or chicken broth for extra flavor)

Instructions

  • Prepare the ingredients:

    • Add the baby potatoes, corn, and andouille sausage to the Crock Pot.

    • Sprinkle over the Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Add the liquid and butter:

    • Pour in the water (or chicken broth) and place the butter and lemon slices on top.

  • Cook:

    • Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours. After about 4 hours, check the potatoes for tenderness. Once they’re soft, add the shrimp and cook for an additional 30-45 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

  • Serve:

    • Stir everything together once it’s cooked, and serve hot. You can serve it directly from the Crock Pot for a fun, communal meal, or transfer it to a large serving platter.

Notes

  • For an added flavor boost, try adding a few crushed garlic cloves or a bay leaf while it cooks.

  • You can increase the cayenne pepper for a spicier dish, or drizzle some hot sauce over the finished dish for extra heat.

  • Pair with crusty bread to soak up the flavorful juices.
