Enjoy all the flavors of a classic egg roll without the deep-frying! This one-pan meal combines savory ground chicken, crisp cabbage, and a deliciously seasoned sauce for a quick and healthy dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 4 cups coleslaw mix (or shredded cabbage and carrots)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp sriracha (optional, for spice)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Chicken:

    • Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Add ground chicken, breaking it apart and cooking until browned (5-6 minutes).
    • Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Sauté the Vegetables:

    • Add coleslaw mix (or cabbage and carrots) to the pan.
    • Pour in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sriracha.
    • Stir well and cook for 5 minutes, until the cabbage is slightly softened but still crisp.
  • Finish & Serve:

    • Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
    • Enjoy as-is or serve over rice, noodles, or in lettuce wraps!

Notes

  • Swap chicken for ground turkey, pork, or tofu for variety.
