This garlic butter shrimp skillet is the perfect combination of juicy shrimp and a savory garlic butter sauce, made in just one pan. It’s a quick, easy, and indulgent dish that’s perfect for busy weeknights or weekend dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 3 tbsp butter, divided

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish


Instructions

  • Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  • Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat with the garlic butter sauce.

  • Stir in lemon juice and cook for another 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Serve over pasta, rice, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.

  • For extra flavor, sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese or add a splash of white wine while cooking the garlic.

  • If you prefer a spicier kick, increase the red pepper flakes or add hot sauce to taste.
