Ingredients
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
-
1/4 cup powdered sugar
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
1/2 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
-
2 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)
-
1 package ladyfingers (about 12)
-
Cocoa powder, for dusting
-
Chocolate shavings or grated chocolate (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
-
In a medium bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
-
In another bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
-
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
-
In a shallow dish, mix the brewed coffee and coffee liqueur (if using). Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture for 1-2 seconds—don’t soak them too long!
-
Layer the dipped ladyfingers at the bottom of mini cups or glasses.
-
Spoon a layer of the mascarpone mixture on top of the ladyfingers, smoothing it out with a spoon.
-
Repeat the layers (ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture) until the cups are filled.
-
Refrigerate the mini tiramisu cups for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
-
Just before serving, dust with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate shavings or grated chocolate.
Notes
-
You can substitute the coffee liqueur with a splash of vanilla extract if you prefer a non-alcoholic version.
-
For extra flavor, layer in some crushed nuts or chocolate chips between the layers.
-
These mini tiramisu cups can be made a day ahead, making them perfect for entertaining!
