Description
Crispy, golden halloumi bites with a sweet and spicy hot honey drizzle make for a delicious and irresistible appetizer or snack. Perfectly crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside!
Ingredients

8 oz halloumi cheese, cut into bite-sized cubes

½ cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp paprika

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

1 egg, beaten

1 tbsp olive oil (for drizzling)
For the Hot Honey Sauce:

3 tbsp honey
-
1 tsp red pepper flakes
-
½ tsp hot sauce (optional)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a bowl, whisk together flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Dip halloumi cubes into the flour mixture, then into the beaten egg, and back into the flour.

Arrange the coated halloumi on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, heat honey with red pepper flakes and hot sauce (if using) over low heat until warmed and smooth.

Drizzle hot honey over the oven-fried halloumi bites and serve immediately.
Notes

For extra crunch, you can also pan-fry the halloumi bites.

Adjust the spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes to the honey sauce.
