For the Red Velvet Brownies:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp red food coloring
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp salt

For the Cheesecake Swirl:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Make the brownie batter: In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, red food coloring, and vinegar. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until smooth.
  • Make the cheesecake filling: In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Assemble: Pour most of the red velvet batter into the pan, reserving a few spoonfuls. Spread the cheesecake mixture over it. Drop the reserved brownie batter in dollops and swirl with a knife.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the center is set. Let cool completely before slicing.
  • Slice & serve for a beautiful, swirled dessert!

Notes

  • For extra richness, add white chocolate chips to the brownie batter.
  • Store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
