For the Red Velvet Brownies:
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp red food coloring
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ tsp salt
For the Cheesecake Swirl:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Make the brownie batter: In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, red food coloring, and vinegar. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until smooth.
- Make the cheesecake filling: In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Assemble: Pour most of the red velvet batter into the pan, reserving a few spoonfuls. Spread the cheesecake mixture over it. Drop the reserved brownie batter in dollops and swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the center is set. Let cool completely before slicing.
- Slice & serve for a beautiful, swirled dessert!
Notes
- For extra richness, add white chocolate chips to the brownie batter.
- Store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
